Year on year Wimbledon marks the start of the Great British Summer. Strawberries and cream, Champagne and Pimms, sunburn and rain are all synonymous with one of the greatest British sporting tournaments.
If you’ve not got tickets and can’t face the queue for Murrays’s Mount we’ve got a few alternative suggestions for places to catch the games.
Coq d’Argent – Those in the Square Mile can watch the excitement of Wimbledon unfold in the upper terrace at Coq d’Argent. Sponsored by Moet and coupled with stunning views, it’s the perfect place to have an ace cocktail!
All Bar Wimble-One – The beer garden at this local bar becomes a Pimms paradise. Close enough to hear the cheers from centre court it’s the perfect option if you get turned away at the gates.
Strawberries and Screen – a 4m x 4m screen in Lewis Cubitt Park, Kings cross. The area is completed with deck chairs, street food and a bar with all the summer favourites.
Emmeline’s Lawn Club – Enjoy free flowing champagne, afternoon tea and the Wimbledon final at the Conrad hotel, all for £55. The lounge area will be an immersive area transformed into a lawn club with floral arrangements inspired by the event and hallmark treats. Did we mention the free flowing champagne?
To celebrate the start of the 2015 championship we have teamed up with ‘On A Sixpence’ to give one lucky Wimbledon fan the chance to win a grand slam bundle of prizes worth over £100. You can enter the competition here.
If you’re off on holiday – don’t forget your shampoos and conditioners. The range is here!
